Motorola buys out PRC set-top box company

Motorola acquired the assets related to digital cable set-top products of Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology Co and Hangzhou Image Silicon, known collectively as Dahua Digital. While the privately held developer and manufacturer of cable set-tops and related low-cost integrated circuits will become part of Motorola’s home & networks mobility business, the transaction will expand Motorola’s digital set-top box offerings in China. Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison advised on the deal. Jun He Law Offices was PRC counsel for Motorola. AllBright Law Offices was counsel for the sellers.
