Allen & Overy breaks the 500 barrier for partners
Allen & Overy announced 28 promotions to partner across 15 offices in 13 countries around the world the latest round of appointments takes the total number of partners at the firm to 505 globally.
The majority of the partnerships occurred outside of London, while one quarter of the new partners located in the emerging market offices such as Bangkok, Dubai, Moscow, Shanghai and Warsaw.
“This year’s promotions reflect our continued commitment to strategic investment in our international network. They will also maintain the regional diversification of our business and the broad spread of the firm across different areas of practice,” says Guy Beringer, senior partner at Allen & Overy.
Grandall strengthens international practice expertise
New partner joins Beijing office to further brace up international strategy
Grandall Legal Group in Beijing announced the joining of Gregory M. Sy, as a partner and senior foreign counsel.
Sy joins from Lehman, Lee & Xu and has extensive experience in corporate, capital markets (overseas listings), international transactions, foreign investment and intellectual property. With the number of small to medium sized enterprises in China is growing, Sy will act as legal counsel for a number of these companies.
