The new copryright law implementing regulations are intended to bring China's copyright regime closer to full compliance with the TRIPs Agreement of the World Trade Organization

(Promulgated by the State Council on August 2 2002 and effective as of September 15 2002.)

Article 1:      These Regulations are formulated in accordance with the PRC Copyright Law (the Copyright Law).
