Interpreting authority: The All China Lawyers Association
Applicability: The Code applies to all member lawyers and law offices of the All China Lawyers Association (Article 4).
Main contents: The Code concerns the professional ethics, practice prerequisites, practice organizations, establishment of the relationship of entrustment and agency (including prohibition of false promises, conflict of interests and keeping of the client's property), standards for charges by lawyers, termination of the relationship of entrustment and agency, practice promotion, code of conduct in the relationship with others in the legal business, code of conduct of lawyers in litigation and arbitration, code of conduct in the relationship between lawyers and the industry administration or administrative authorities and practice penalties.
