Interpreting authority: General Administration of Customs

Applicability: The term "import and export inspection" (Inspection) refers to law enforcement acts of physical check of imports and exports in accordance with the law by customs to determine whether the contents of customs declaration made by consignors and consignees of imports and exports comply with the actual circumstances of the imports and exports, or to determine the classification, price, place of origin and etc. of the goods (Article 2).
