Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed Teresa Ko as China managing partner, while Chris Wong has assumed the role of Beijing office managing partner. Robert Ashworth will continue in his role as head of the firm's Asia corporate practice, and Clive Rough and Melissa Thomas will remain as managing partners of the Hong Kong and Shanghai offices, respectively.

"We are very excited about the appointments of Teresa and Chris. This is excellent news for the firm. They have worked on some of the most prestigious transactions in the region and are both highly respected lawyers in the market with extensive experience in China. Their combined experience and focus will ensure that the firm is strategically positioned to capitalise on current and future opportunities in the market," comments Guy Morton, joint senior partner.
