Hong Kong and Macao investors allowed to establish computer reservation system joint ventures in the mainland.

Promulgated: October 12 2007
Effective: January 1 2008

Interpreting Authorities: General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, Ministry of Commerce and National Development and Reform Commission according to their respective purview.

Main Contents: Qualified Hong Kong and Macao service providers are allowed to establish a joint venture in the mainland with mainland computer reservation system (CRS) service providers. The mainland party shall hold a controlling share in the joint venture. The business licensing of the joint venture must be subject to economic need tests (Article 1).
