Grand Shanghai Tai Ping Yang Hotel, a joint venture led by LaSalle investment team, has signed a hotel management agreement with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Robert Williams, who led the Baker & McKenzie team, commented: “China is one of the hottest hotel markets globally in terms of growth and development. Shanghai is a vibrant gateway city for China, and retaining an operator of Starwood's quality for the hotel was important for the owner,” he said. Baker & McKenzie advised the new owners of the Sheraton, while Wilkinson & Grist acted for Starwood.
