Sponsored by White & Case, Fangda Partners, Lovells and the Wang Family Foundation, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (the Jessup) was held at Renmin University. Now in its sixth year, the championship is an international law advocacy competition in which teams of law students present oral and written pleadings before a simulated International Court of Justice. The even attracted teams across China, with 27 universities competing.
Commented Hugh Verrier, Chairman of White & Case: “The Jessup Competition is an excellent training ground for law students from around the world. [It] not only provides a challenging intellectual experience, but also a cultural one that transcends national boundaries.”
