Lawyer says: New National Energy Administration looks promising

The newly-established National Energy Administration (NEA) will allow more efficient communication between practitioners and government officials, said Lee Hill, consultant at Simmons & Simmons.
Market energy sectors were previously regulated by three separate agencies: the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, the NDRC, and Ministry of Commerce. Hill said that conflicts of interest and opinion always occur among the departments, causing confusion and misunderstandings between lawyers and government officials.
