Emphasis on risk control and ample reserves

The China Banking Regulatory Commission has issued a statement urging banks to control their non-performing loans, which are expected to increase due to economic instability.

The statement, published on January 13, called for “correct categorisation, ample reserves, sufficient capital, and sticking to risk control” by financial institutions.
