Chinese state power company to run Philippines' network
The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has bid successfully, as part of a consortium with two Philippine companies, for a 25-year concession to operate, maintain and expand the Philippines national transmission system and electricity grid.
The consortium won the concession for US$3.95 billion, making this the biggest investment by a Chinese company in the Philippines.
