    New Asia leader and China partners for Freshfields
    Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer     has appointed partner Simon Marchant to the role of Asia regional managing partner.

    Marchant, a corporate law specialist, has led both the energy and natural resources sector and telecoms, media and technology sector groups. He has been a member of Freshfields' partnership council for three years.
