Lawyers call for more detail on cross-strait MOU

The signing of a long-awaited cross-straits memorandum of understanding on banking supervision is only a first step and investors should be wary about jumping to conclusions about its effect on business flowing into and out of Taiwan.
The MOU was signed on November 16 by representatives of financial supervisory bodies from both sides: Taiwan's Financial Services Commission, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in the PRC. It has received a mixed reaction.
