Linklaters has named Stuart Salt as its new Asia managing partner. He will take up the position on February 1, after current head Zili Shao leaves to join JP Morgan as China chairman and CEO.
Salt is presently based in London where he is managing partner for Emerging Europe, Middle East and North Africa. He led the firm's Asia banking and projects practice between 2005 and 2008, and has been a partner since 1992. His practice focuses on the energy and infrastructure sectors, although he has broad experience advising on M&A, joint ventures, privatisations and structured financings.
