    Clifford Borg-Marks has joined Lovells' IP team in Beijing as a consultant. He specialises in portfolio management, commercial and due diligence IP, government lobbying and general IP troubleshooting.

    Regarded as a pioneer in PRC intellectual property law, Borg-Marks was a diplomat in Beijing in the 1980s and ran Baker & McKenzie's China IP practice for a few years after. He has handled a number of precedent-setting IP cases in China, for example the first copyright case in China for Sega Enterprises of Japan immediately after the introduction of the PRC Copyright Law.
