King & Wood has hired Rupert Li as its international managing partner. Corporate specialist Li joins from Clifford Chance, where he was its Beijing office's chief representative. He will oversee King & Wood's international business and divide his time between its Hong Kong and Beijing offices.
Li's hiring exemplifies the growing appetite of PRC firms for senior-level talent from international firms. Another recent notable move was former Lovells Shanghai managing partner Robert Lewis going to Allbright Law Offices.
