Beijing-based Dacheng Law Offices has opened up a Hong Kong office. It has finalised a merger with law firm Guangdong Xinyang (Xinyang), which already had a presence in Hong Kong. Dacheng received its licence to operate in Hong Kong in May and has already absorbed the partners from Xingyang. The previous co-managing partner of Xinyang, Yang Jinzhu, is now the managing partner of Dacheng's Hong Kong office. The firm plans to have 15 partners in the new office by the end of this year.
