Davis Polk & Wardwell in Hong Kong has hired two prominent practitioners to round out its new Hong Kong law practice.
Corporate specialist Antony Dapiran joins the Wall Street firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was the managing partner of its Beijing office. He regularly counsels a number of Fortune China 100 companies on regulatory, compliance and general corporate matters, and some of his recent transaction achievements include acting for Agricultural Bank of China on its $22 billion IPO and representing the underwriters on ICBC's IPO.
Bonnie YT Chan, a corporate lawyer with years of financial regulatory and in-house experience, will start at Davis Polk in December. Since 2007 she has been a senior vice president, the leader of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's IPO transactions department in the listing division.
