    Japanese steel manufacturer, Kobe Steel has acquired a 44.3% equity share in PRC compressor maker, Wuxi Compressor. The latter is based in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

    The investment was made through Kobelco (China) Holdings, Kobe Steel's China headquarters. It aims to help Kobe Steel meet the rising demand for process gas compressors in China.

    A Tokyo-based Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker team, led by Toshiyuki Arai advised the buyer.
