In two eagerly-anticipated global fashion companies' initial public offerings (IPOs) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Samsonite raised US$1.25 billion and Prada raised US$2.14 billion.
Samsonite, the world's largest travel luggage company, was acquired by CVC Capital partners in 2007. The underwriters of its IPO were Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, royal Bank of Scotland and UBS.
Luxury fashion house, Prada SpA (Prada) will be the first Italian company to list in Hong Kong. The underwriters of its IPO were Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, Credit Agricole, Goldman Sachs, and UniCredit SpA.
