Ropes & Gray has opened a new office in Shanghai, which will be led by private equity and corporate specialist Arthur Mok. Joining him will be investment funds lawyer Geoffrey Chan.
The Shanghai office will focus primarily on its core areas of client service – private equity, investment funds and life sciences. This is the firm's third office in Asia.
Mok's clients include numerous China- and US-based companies, private equity firms and venture capital funds operating in the healthcare, life sciences and technology industries. Chan's practice focuses on the creation of Chiense offshore US-dollar denominated funds and domestic Rmb private investment funds.
