Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA) will make a US$100 million private equity investment into China XD Plastics Company (China XD), a Harbin-based manufacturer of plastic automotive components. MSPEA will take on a significant minority ownership stake in China XD. The investment will enable the company to expand and upgrade its production capabilities.
Advising the private equity investor was a Hong Kong-based Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison team led by Jack Lange. A Han Kun Law Offices, led by Charles Li, Huan Wang, Kaiying Wu and Xu Liu, represented China XD as its PRC counsel, while a Beijing-based DLA Piper team led by Steven Liu acted as its international adviser.
