Burkardt Boehland & Partner has opened up an office in Shanghai. The law firm is licensed in China and authorised to advise foreign and domestic Chinese companies on PRC law. The office is led by Rainer Burkardt, who has 14 years of local experience. It recently hired finance specialist Dr. Gerald Neumann and employment specialist Nils Siebert. Neumann joins from a German financial institution and Siebert was formerly at Boss & Young.
The firm primarily advises enterprise in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on their investments in China. A full-service offering, Burkardt Boehland advises on FDI, general corporate matters, labour law, litigation and arbitration, intellectual property, antitrust and energy among others.
