    Offshore firm Ogier has opened up an office in Shanghai. It will be headed up by Kristy Calvert, a native Mandarin and Shanghainese speaker. She was previously the legal director for Rio Tinto/Asia.

    The new office marks the very first time an offshore law firm has opened in the Mainland. It offers legal advice on British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands Guernsey and Jersey laws.
