John Shi and Nicolas Groffman have left Mallesons Stephen Jaques' Beijing office for DLA Piper. Shi was Mallesons' Bejiing Chief for seven years and Groffman was a junior M&A partner. The two join DLA Piper as partners and will work closely with the firm's Greater China offices, advising on corporate matters.
In particular, Shi's clients span numerous industry sectors including financial services, oil and gas, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, among others. His specialties include M&A, FDI and corporate structures. Groffman has extensive experience in the TMT area and his practice focuses on FDI and corporate and commercial regulatory compliance.
