PCAOB framework for HFCAA determinations comes into effect

The United States securities regulator has approved the framework for implementing tightened auditing requirements for foreign companies listed in the U.S. On November 5, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that it had approved the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's (PCAOB) Rule 6100, Board Determinations Under the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act, effective immediately.
