Main contents: The Guidelines state that it is necessary to proactively cleanse retained data, establish and improve a data cleansing mechanism and expressly specify the cleansing targets, procedure, method and requirements. With respect to personal information the purpose of the processing of which has been achieved or the storage limit of which has expired, the same are to be duly and promptly destroyed or anonymized and it is to be ensured that the same cannot be illegally accessed in an identifiable manner directly or indirectly.
