China to Mandate Labeling of AI Content 



Chinese regulators have issued a new rule that requires the explicit and implicit labeling of AI-generated content, SCMP reports.

In an attempt to “curb misinformation and boost online transparency,” the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), alongside the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, and the National Radio and Television Administration, issued Measures for Labeling Content Generated by Artificial Intelligence (人工智能生成合成内容标识办法), which takes effect Sept 1, 2025.
