Benchmark’s Chinese Investment Scrutinized Under Reverse CFIUS Program



The U.S. Treasury Department is reviewing a $75 million investment led by Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Benchmark Capital into Chinese startup Manus AI,

Under the Outbound Investment Security Program, known as "Reverse CFIUS," U.S. entities must notify the Treasury Department of investments involving critical technologies, such as AI, into China.
