Data and Algorithms to Benefit From Trade Secrets Protection



China released a new set of regulations that will expand protection of trade secrets to digital information such as data, algorithms, computer programs and codes.

The protection under the State Administration for Market Regulation’s (SAMR) Regulations for the Protection of Trade Secrets (商业秘密保护规定) also applies to failed experimental data and interim technological achievements, provided that they have commercial value.
