US Divestment Order Against Suirui Goes to Court

The U.S. government has sought the intervention of the federal court to enforce its divestment order against Chinese technology company Suirui Group.

Jupiter Systems, which is a video communications hardware and software company based in California that has among its customers commercial clients and U.S. government entities, was acquired by Suirui in 2020 through its Hong Kong subsidiary—a transaction the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) reviewed retroactively.
