Chinese Regulator Rejects AI Content in Patent Re-Examination



China’s intellectual property regulator rejected a request for re-examination of a patent on the basis that AI content is not admissible in the request, according to a press release on 10 classic patent re-examination cases in 2025 by the regulator.

The Ningbo Branch of the China Ordnance Science Research Institute sought a re-examination of a patent named "A Metallographic Preparation Method for Tungsten-Zirconium Alloy” with application number 202010182089.3 .
