Chinese Courts Allow Concurrent Civil and Criminal Proceedings

China’s highest court has issued provisions permitting civil trials to run concurrently with criminal trials in some instances.

Previously, civil cases involving criminal offenses could only be heard after the completion of the criminal trial.
